Beacon Hill Pool is now fully accessible
Following a major accessibility project, Beacon Hill Pool now welcomes members of all abilities. We are proud to be the only outdoor pool in Beaconsfield that is fully accessible to people with mobility impairments.
Recent upgrades throughout the facility include:
- Pool lift — a chair lift for safe entry into and out of the water
- Washrooms — new accessible toilets and sinks
- Doors — widened, power-operated doors
- Ramps — level, ramped access to the washrooms and shower
Our new poolside lift provides safe access into and out of the water.
Federal Grant: Beacon Hill Pool is now FULLY accessible
We are proud to announce that, thanks to the Government of Canada's Enabling Accessibility Fund: Small Projects grant, Beacon Hill Pool is now FULLY accessible to members with mobility impairments.
The project delivered widened, power-operated doors to the washrooms, new accessible toilets and sinks, ramps throughout the pool deck, and a pool lift enabling safe access into and out of the water. With these upgrades, BHILL welcomes members of all abilities.
We are deeply grateful for the $72,000 in federal funding from the Government of Canada, along with $24,000 from the City of Beaconsfield, which together made this project possible.
